On a refreshing, sunny, summer afternoon, the team at The Frederick County Guide made their way to the Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) season opener showcase, presented at VOLT in downtown Frederick. With hors d’oeuvres served in typical Volt fashion, cocktails including an old-fashioned Gimlet, and dreamy patio seating, the event set the mood for an exciting and unforgettable season at the MET! 5 Reasons You Don’t Want To Miss What’s Happening at the MET This Season! 1. It’s the most interesting and challenging season ever produced! MET Artistis Director Tad Janes promises that this season will be one for the ages. “At MET, we really want to bring a diverse season of exciting works to our community and I believe this season positions itself to become of the most interesting and challenging seasons we have ever produced.” 2. No matter what genre you’re looking for, you’ll find it at the MET From horror to heart-warming, the theater will produce the show that fits your mood. A chilling tale of Frankenstein hits the stage just in time for Halloween, join in for an interesting story of friendship and communication entitled “Tribes”, and laugh along to a classic comedy- “One Man Two Guvnors.” 3. There will be plenty of chances to see your favorite show! All shows run for 4 weeks each with 16 performances, so you have NO excuse but to make it in for at least one! 4.
